I chose this book as the best example I could find that illustrates computer technology with good graphics.  I am also interested to see how this kind of treatment may be a good bridge to what I am doing with Situating Data and nfoWare.  Meanwhile, I like how the book lays in computer history and a great deal of background material without going as heavyweight about it as I am inclined to do.  -- dh:2004-01-11.
