Description

2005-08-12 The contact page is a little large.  It needs to be abbreviated and simplified, with backup material linked to on other pages.
2005-07-06 Version this page so that completed items can be rolled-off to an archive-backup page, leaving mainly open items at the top level and easier to find and review.
2005-05-07 Find a good discussion-list etiquette document somewhere and link to it.
2005-05-07 Address having the TROST-discuss material be caught as spam, fixing the filter if desired, etc.
2005-05-07 There's also push-pull-click-click that goes into this. In contrast with the one about version histories in VSS, which I just blew here.  Next time I'll remember to get it right.  This gets into tools influencing the artisan too.
2005-05-07 The accountability pattern deserves some discussion and disclosure elsewhere.  It is as good an example as any.  We may even end up changing the name, re-factoring the pattern, etc.  This gets into "warts-and-all" as a crucial pattern in transparency.
2005-05-07 Make sure that NuovoDoc explains the confidentiality approach and what "generous compensation" means. [dh:2005-07-06 I think the statement on the contact page is snotty.  Soften it the way I did on ODMA.]
2005-05-02 We've got to do something to assure accessibility of these pages and especially the content pages like the contact information.  When do we do that?  How do we do that?  We can't delay until someone needs it.  How do we anticipate? [dh:2005-05-07 I found some tips on this by looking over how the Public Knowledge site handles this kind of thing.  Funny, it shows in their site design and I have to admire what they've done.  If I could do that and have the grace of MediaWiki, I'd be thrilled.]
2005-05-02 OK Dennis, you hate digests from lists, but you have to do a digest subscription to this list because you have to see what others are seeing too.  Now be a good boy and use one of your other e-mail addresses. Use orcmid.  That critter will eat, uh ... read, anything.
2005-05-02 Try signed and encrypted messages to the list and see how hey fail if they fail.
2005-05-02 At some point, come back and link the failure mode, coherence shear, and abstraction leakage allusions to something that illustrates it in the TROST framework.
2005-05-02 There's a need for more tips and illustrations for confirmable experience of the archive access and for other elements of contact.  These can be additional folio pages (or other folios) that are linked from the overall contact page.  [dh:2005-05-03 It would be great to support these with screencasts too.]
2005-04-19 These same structures work for ODMA.info and the ActiveODMA and ODMref 1.0 project areas, except it looks like FAQ will be used instead of InfoNotes.  That should work just fine.
2005-04-19 Make sure that the NuovoDoc contact page is consistent with the one here and any one under ODMA.info.
done 2005-08-14 Clean up the urgent-contact box to make it more clear what to provide in an SMS or cell-phone message.
done 2005-08-14 The bulleted cross-version linking underneath the i050402c table of contents is spaced badly.  Redo so that it is in a dashed box and so the bullet items are compact.

2005-08-12
2005-07-06 The version on ODMA is a little cleaner.  Roll back applicable changes to this contact page.

2005-05-07
2005-05-02 Wait a bit and then proof read every little bit of the new i050402b page.  Do that while vetting the Creative Commons stuff too.  [dh:2005-05-07 I did this in making i050402c the latest contact page.
done 2005-05-07 Reflect the branching of the base Contact page in this folio's cover page.
done 2005-05-07 Include something about the first-attempt to use the list, test messages, etc.
done 2005-05-07 Crisp up the part about un-solicited confidential and proprietary information being unwelcome.
done 2005-05-07 Clean up the top of the contacts page and look to doing a version-lock just to demonstrate the pattern.
done 2005-05-03 i050402b: Front page keeps extending the hyperlink on <orcmid@users.sourceforge.net> to the surrounding text until I put it in angle brackets.
done 2005-05-03 i050402a: Get the centering out of the very bottom "Description" cell in this table.
done 2005-05-03 i050402b: Under "If you request a private ..." change "Some what to feel ..." to "Some want to feel .."
done 2005-05-03 i050402b: Clean up the contact material a little.  I don't like my name in bold face like that. [dh:2005-04-07 I toned it down even more.]
done 2005-05-03 i050402b: Make the assistance needed to confirm accessibility clear in the introduction at the top.
done 2005-05-03 i050402b: Link to Spolski article on leaky abstractions in my mention of the term.
done 2005-05-03 i050402b: In section 3, change "Everything that's sent to the list ..." to be "Everything that's successfully posted to the list ..."
done 2005-05-03 Take the extra blank lines off the ends of i050402b bullet points; judge the appearance by looking at the preview, not the design layout in FrontPage.  Make it a habit to do that.
done 2005-05-03 Adjust this page to accommodate the wider Creative Commons notice.
done 2005-05-03 Put the emergency-contact case at the top of the Contact & Feedback page, so that it is prominent and doesn't have to be hunted for.
done 2005-05-03 Fix the title of the page to be more about Contact & Feedback, not Contact TROSTing.org.  That appears to exclude the SourceForge site and I don't want that.

2005-05-02
2005-04-19 When I receive confirmation of the trost-discuss list setup, complete the setup and include the list address in my materials.  The address will be <mailto:trost-discuss@lists.sourceforge.net>., with subject "General questions, discussion, and feedback on TROST and TROSTing."
done
2005-05-01
2005-04-19 The trost-discuss list deserves its own HowTo for how to check the archive, how to reply to messages and participate in discussion, how to send a note to the list, and how to subscribe to the list so that the postings to the list will be mailed to you.
done 2005-04-26 Correct this page's URL in the title block's back-link to the folio cover.
done 2005-04-20 Check and correct the anchor-block self-references in this folio: i050402, i050402a, i050402b
done 2005-04-20 Correct the titles of these folio pages to be for this folio: i050402, i050402a, i050402b
done 2005-04-20 Correct the version information on i050402b to be spaced properly (probably has bad <div> tags).
done 2005-04-19 Make a TROSTing contact page that works on the model used for NuovoDoc.com.  [dh:2005-04-19 We make i050402b be the current template and then include it into contact.htm, to be referenced from the home page when we have one read.]
done 2005-04-19 Activate the discussion list on TROSTing so that we can name it in materials and know that it works. [dh:2005-04-19 The trost-discuss list has been requested.  It will take 6-24 hours for it to set up and there will be more to do under the list manager before the list is usable.  Expect an e-mail.] [dh:2005-04-19 I have the e-mail]
done
2005-05-02
2005-04-19 Make sure that completion of this material is on the job jar and check list for what must be completed before TROST engagement can occur.  [dh:2005-05-02 This is good to go.  Maybe a quick review but we are in fat city here, fella.]
done 2005-04-19 Create a contact and feedback InfoNote that can be referenced as scaffolding for later arrivals. [dh:2005-04-19 Actually, there will be a contact page, but it is going to be populated from this InfoNote.  Any references to this page should be changed to refer to the contact information.]
